Centre says it is up to SC to decide on validity of Sec 377

The Centre has made it clear that the SC can decide the constitutional validity of Section 377 that criminalises consensual gay sex. It said that it will not contest the petitions challenging the law. Additional Solicitor said that the Centre has left the issue to the wisdom of the Court but requested not decide on the corollary rights of the LGBTQ.
