BMTC’s Pink Sarathi squads to tackle harassment of women

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) plans to roll out 25 Pink Sarathi Road Patrol Squads that cost Rs.4.3 crore. With an all-woman crew, including two female traffic inspectors and a driver, the squad will patrol the streets from dawn to dusk. The vehicles are equipped with tracking devices and will rush to women in distress.
