75,000 tourists were stranded in Bali as the Ngurah Rai airport was closed this morning as 450 flights plying to and fro were cancelled. This was following the eruption of Mount Agung that shot a tower of smoke and ash 2,000 mts into the sky. Traces of the ash found at the airport can be sucked into the engines and also make the runways slippery.
