Bacteria-detecting plastic strip identify contaminated food

Researchers developed Sentinel Wrap, a thin, plastic patch that changes colour under UV light when it comes in contact with meat contaminated with E.Coli. Food contaminated by E.Coli is difficult to be detected by smelling or just by looking at it. DNA molecules, added to the thin plastic, lights up under UV light upon contact with E.Coli.
