Assamese citizens worried about citizenship

Around 50,000 people living in Assam, where 28% are Bengali speakers may become stateless on June 30th, when the final draft of the Supreme Court-monitored National Registry of Citizens is compiled. The Coordination Committee of Minority Organisations allege deliberate attempts by the Assam government to target Bengali Hindus and Muslims.
