Apple updates NFC tech to allow iPhones to break smart locks

Apple is reported to announce an updated Near Field Communication chip at its Worldwide Developers Conference that can break smart locks.  It is reported that it will allow even older iPhones unlock smart locks, including those of a car or an office building. The device is currently in the prototyping stage and is being manufactured in China.
