Akshay Venkatesh wins Nobel of Mathematics Fields medal

New Delhi-born Akshay Venkatesh won Fields medal regarded as Nobel Prize of Mathematics. He was awarded for his contributions on broad range of subjects in mathematics. These awards are given every 4 years to the most promising mathematicians under age 40. The winners receive 15,000 Canadian dollar cash prize and are honoured with an award ceremony.
