A nutritious diet plays a vital role in pregnancy. In the 1st trimester include a diet rich in folates and calcium for the foetus to develop. Include carbs, protein and ginger to deal with morning sickness. Add fats and iron in the 2nd trimester for the baby to grow. Have vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, Omega 3 and choline in the 3rd trimester.
