A collision may have led to the tilting of Uranus

Researchers have come up with a theory to explain the unusual incline of Uranus. It is mostly due to a collision between Uranus and a young proto-planet made of rock and ice 4 bn years ago. The impact of this may have tilted the planet without destroying its atmosphere. This could also be the reason behind the freezing temperatures in the planet.
