3D printed reef to save corals in Maldives

Scientists in Australia have found a novel way of saving coral reefs, which has been diminishing due to climate change. The reef has been developed using computer modelling and 3D printing. The experimental project in Maldives aims to help coral reefs survive the climate change. The reefs are cast in ceramic, similar to calcium carbonate in the lab.
